Hedgehog Hollow

My children woke up on Christmas morning and found the following note taped to the wall next to the Christmas tree:

Well hello, my dears! Our names are Holly, Harry, and Hilda, and we'd like to tell you that your house has a new name: HEDGEHOG HOLLOW! For more information, look in your mom's stocking . . .
Thus began a scavenger hunt through Hedgehog Hollow. Those little hogs are pesky. They'd left a trail that included a bathtub, a toy chest, a roll of toilet paper, the microwave. When there are hedgehogs about, there's no end to their tomfoolery whilst you sleep. Sometimes they even like to sort themselves into a hedgie totem (see above).

And so we welcomed, from left to right, Hilda (Clementine's), Harry (Elias'), and Holly (Chloe):
I must give props to Fiber Trends for their fantastic "Huggable Hedgehogs" knitting pattern. Don't tell Holly and Harry, but I think secretively, Hilda is my favorite.

And Clementine seems to agree:
If you're ever in the neighborhood, we'd love for you to stop by Hedgehog Hollow for a spot of tea and some seriously roly-poly mischief.

THE END.

Oh my gosh! Those are just awesome. Did you felt them? I love the picture with Clementine because I can see the scale -- they are quite large.

Glad you had a fun Christmas.

Amy--yes, they were felted. It's a cool pattern because the fur is synthetic, so it doesn't felt up when you felt the rest of the hedgehog--it just becomes furrier.

Those are about the cutest things I think I have ever seen! You need to write a children's book with them as the characters. I'm very impressed at your sewing skills....Wow. I want one, it would sit on my bed.
